Why You Can’t Afford NOT To Build A Home Based Business

In the U.S.  in 2010, you simply can’t afford NOT to build a home-based business or have some sort of Plan B. Even if we were living in a country that wasn’t going through a huge recession, it’s still a great idea to have a Plan B. However, since we are living in a country and a time when money is tight for just about everyone, you simply can’t afford to just count on your job as your one source of income.

Talking to people about working from home, I have heard a ton of excuses. From, “I don’t have the time;” to, “I don’t know anything about business.”  However, the biggest one is usually, “I don’t have the money;” or, “I can’t afford it.”

While it is true that almost all home-based businesses cost money up front to get started, that money is basically pointless when you think about all the money you can make in just your first year alone in the business.

What would happen to you if you lost your job tomorrow? Would you be on the cusp of financial ruin? Would your family be able to survive? Could you pay your bills? What would you do?

That’s why working from home and having a Plan B is so vital. Wouldn’t you love to know that even if you lost your job you would be OK. And even if your job is secure (and if it is you are one of the few), how would a couple extra thousand dollars a month help you out? What could you do that you can’t do now if your income was supplemented with something that you can do part-time from home for 7-10 hours a week?

In these scary times it might be easy to say what you CAN’T DO more than what you CAN DO. However, I’m here to tell you that in 2010, with the recession still in high gear, you simply can’t afford not to have a Plan B.
