Why Finding Out More About Your Prospect Is So Important

When you are meeting with a prospect for your business, the most important thing you can do is take the time to listen to what they have to say and find out as much about them as you can. So often, as business owners, we make the mistake of doing all the talking. We believe that if we can say enough we can find the one thing that is going to get them into the business. However, if we took a little less time talking and a little more time listening to what the person is saying we could easily figure out if your business is right for them and what they need to know in order to get started in the business.

Every prospect has a hot button. The hot button is what is going to take someone from a prospect to a team member in your business. It is our job to ask enough questions and do enough listening so that we can get to those hot button issues. After all, if someone is willing to sit down and talk to you about a home-based business, they must have some level of interest in working from home. However, just because they are interested, doesn’t mean you can give the same pitch to every person and see great results.

Maybe the prospect has been in another business but they felt that they didn’t have enough leadership. Or maybe they’ve always wanted to work from home but their spouse isn’t supportive. Or maybe they want to work from home but they have a high-paying, full-time job and they’re afraid to lose that security. All of these things are important to know and it will affect the way you tell the prospect about your opportunity.

In order to get to these hot buttons you have to ask probing questions. You have to find out everything you can about who they are and what makes them tick if you want to have an effective pitch. Why You Must Have A Online Training System To Prosper

Often I am asked about the Online  Training System I use. New and struggling networkers ask me how using such a system can be beneficial to their business. Most network marketers do not understand the power and leverage a system can provide and can actually determine their level of success. This took me a year and half to realize myself since I really had no leader to mentor my attempt at building an online business.

What should one look for in a training system? A high-quality system will have many features including the most important for building any downline. Duplication is the key factor most systems lack and why the majority are just a waste of time and money. Every serious marketer knows he must train his downline to be able to bring in new members or he will not succeed. How much time would this take a leader every day to show his entire team the blueprint to effective marketing? There are not enough hours in the day to accomplish this task. Your phone would be ringing off the hook! I struggled aimlessly in network marketing until I learned this essential lesson.

The next attribute I look for in a system is training. How often is the training? How much is already in the back office? Could a person new to network marketing follow the blueprint? What format is the training recorded? For example, video, audio, webinars or eBooks. How in depth is the training. For instance, I have watched various trainings which only touch the surface of different marketing techniques and really didn’t teach you anything. This type of training ends up frustrating people because they are no further ahead than when they started.

Another element which I must have is search engine optimization. Most systems only have replicated sites for promotion. If you remember nothing else, remember to stay away from replicated sites. There must be an option in place for your own domain name. If you do not have your own domain, then search engine optimization is impossible. How are you going to brand yourself without your own internet address? It will not happen, I guarantee it, and it looks totally unprofessional.

There are some other key elements I also look for, but these are my requirements for myself. I went through quite a few systems before realizing not all are created equal. If you are still failing in Network Marketing, then you obviously do not have a duplication training system in place. Why keep spending money and time trying to learn website building, branding, search engine optimization, email marketing, and so forth, when a high-quality Online Training System will take you step by step and show you the way.

Make a Positive Change in Life – Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you always got.

Do you feel you may be ready to make a positive change  in your life?

Sometimes we get stuck in our own comfort zone, afraid of what will happen if we start to make changes however big or small they may be. Sometimes we feel safer knowing that if we keep doing the same things in life we pretty much know what results we will get.

This can relate to anything in life, our job or business, family life, social life, openness to learn and grow as a person - anything really. Einstein famously said that “the definition of insanity is the person who keeps doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results”… Think about that one.

A lot of what we do in life boils down to our pre-conditioned beliefs. Beliefs about what we should or shouldn’t be doing in life. This is where our uncomfortable feelings can arise when it comes to thinking about making positive change and doing something different.

So take some time out today to really think about any changes you would like to make in your life. Get very clear about what you want your future to hold for you. Does it relate to finances, more time, freedom, travel, your job, business or career situation. As you do this exercise really think about stepping outside your own limitations you have set for yourself, step outside your comfort zone.

This is key to making a positive change  in life.

Let’s clear the confusion and really go into what branding you really means because a social media strategy is just the surface of it.

Branding is what people say about you, when they walk out of your home,  shop,  business or meeting.

In essence, branding isn’t what  marketers say.

It’s really, what the people say about…

1. The quality of your content
2. The value of your products, etc.
3. The training you’ve provided to someone
4. Or the lack of value of your content
5. The way your customer service is just awesome
6. How they feel about you after speaking to you in person or on the phone
7. Your e-mails and if they are spam or amazing content

About…you.

The moment people come together online or offline and speak about you, you are branding you. So be vigilant, be on the alert and see what people are saying.

Not to go and attack, but be part of the conversation because you can influence a change in the conversation about…you.

“EARTH DAY” THE REST OF THE STORY

I found this article by Tom Pyle from the Institute for Energy Research. Tom exposes the facts on the environment you won’t often hear. Earth Day is frequently filled with wailing and gnashing of teeth about the environment. But those doing all the wailing and gnashing don’t always tell the whole story about the true state of our environment. The truth is this: The environment is getting cleaner, even as the economy grows and population increases. The connection between the environment and the economy is not a coincidence, of course. No one wants dirty water or dirty air. So, as the economy grows, it makes it easier to clean the environment. It is not what the enviro-doomsayers and eco-profiteers say, but we have done just that. It’s called ingenuity and the American people are chock-full of it.
 
Here are some facts to share with your friends and family about energy and the environment:
 
1. Almost one quarter of the world’s population, 1.4 billion people, do not have access to electricity. (Int’l Energy Agency)
 
2. Air quality continues to improve even as the economy grows and energy consumption increases. Since 1990 U.S. gross domestic product has increased by 64 percent, population has grown by 22 percent, and energy consumption has increased by 19 percent. At the same time, air pollution emissions have decreased by 41 percent. (Inst for Energy Research)
 
3. Americans use less energy per person today than in the 1970s, even though the economy has doubled in size. Today we drive more miles and have many more electronic gadgets and yet, energy use per person fell by 9 percent according to the Energy Information Administration. Also, since 1970, energy use per dollar of economic output has fallen by over 50 percent. (Dept. of Energy)
 
4. Today’s power plants are much cleaner than in the past. One factor in improving air quality has been the pollution-control technologies used by coal-fired power plants. Between 1970 and 2006, SO2 emissions in pounds per million Btu were reduced by almost 80 percent and NOx emissions in pounds per million Btu were reduced by over 70 percent. Between 1970 and 2006, total SO2 emissions were reduced by about 40 percent. Between 1980 and 2006, NOx emissions were reduced by almost 50 percent. (Inst for Energy Research)
 
5. The United States produced more oil in 1949 than it does today. This should not come as a surprise, since the federal government has only offered for lease 3 percent of federal lands and the Progressive Obama Administration continues to keep new offshore areas under lock and key. Why You Can’t Afford NOT To Build A Home Based Business

In the U.S.  in 2010, you simply can’t afford NOT to build a home-based business or have some sort of Plan B. Even if we were living in a country that wasn’t going through a huge recession, it’s still a great idea to have a Plan B. However, since we are living in a country and a time when money is tight for just about everyone, you simply can’t afford to just count on your job as your one source of income.

Talking to people about working from home, I have heard a ton of excuses. From, “I don’t have the time;” to, “I don’t know anything about business.”  However, the biggest one is usually, “I don’t have the money;” or, “I can’t afford it.”

While it is true that almost all home-based businesses cost money up front to get started, that money is basically pointless when you think about all the money you can make in just your first year alone in the business.

What would happen to you if you lost your job tomorrow? Would you be on the cusp of financial ruin? Would your family be able to survive? Could you pay your bills? What would you do?

That’s why working from home and having a Plan B is so vital. Wouldn’t you love to know that even if you lost your job you would be OK.
