Using Network Marketing to Increase Customers for any Business

Every business has roughly the same goal: attracting customers. Car dealerships want to sell more cars, restaurants want to serve more people, newspapers want more readers, and television stations want more viewers. The more customers a business has, the more money that business stands to make. Unfortunately, revenue streams are declining, not expanding, in the current economy. Businesses have to find a way to reach more customers, and they often have to do so while facing declining profits. It is a tough problem to tackle, but fortunately, network marketing offers a solution.

The process of network marketing can be as something as simple as informing people about your company through word of mouth. However, that method isn’t exactly the most efficient for most businesses. Online networks now exist that allow companies to market their products and services to potential consumers all over the world. Needless to say, this will give most companies a dramatic increase in potential customers. If you have a quality product or service that people already want, it stands to reason that if more people are introduced to it, at least some of them will want it.

Network marketing allows you to expand your customer base in ways that other methods of advertising can’t. For example, most print publications are localized and only reach people within a certain range. Even national print publications reach fewer homes than the does the Internet. Using online networks to promote your company is going to give you access to people that no other form of advertisement can. A business is Maine can reach customers in California with a simple click of the mouse. No method is going to reach every consumer, but online networks are going to reach the most and do so at a much cheaper cost than standard forms of advertising.

Through the utilization of network marketing, a local business can reach potential customers from all over the world. While not every business is capable of handling production on a global scale, many are. Those that can are missing out on potential customers and potential profits if they are not taking advantage of online networks. They are the quickest and cheapest method for telling as many people as possible about your company. The more people that know about your company, the better chance you have of attracting new customers. The more people you have spending money on your products and services, the better off your business will be.

I Thought I Knew What Made Me Successful, but I Was Wrong!

Happy 10

Here is some outstanding information posted by good friends of mine, Herb Hunter & Dan Putman titled I Thought I Knew What Made Me Successful, but I Was Wrong! Herb and Dan are great networkers and earns a great deal of money in network marketing and online marketing.

Something that has always interested me about Network Marketing is how people became successful. It took me several months to even earn my first commission check and almost a year to earn enough to even cover my expenses.  Instead of giving up I started talking to successful marketers and trying to figure out what they did on a daily basis and what they felt where the keys to their  success. Here is a great article from Mark Yarnell talking about that very subject.

By Mark Yarnell

Until recently, I’ve never really been able to share what  I’ve accomplished, because although I had the competency skills to build a Network, I didn’t really know what I knew.I went all over the country talking to various groups and  sharing with them the tools I thought had made me successful.

I now know that none of those systems really resulted in my success. I didn’t understand that until I met with  Dr. Albert Van Dura at Stanford University.

Dr. Van Dura is a former president of the American Psychological Association and has been a Stanford psychologist  for 40 years. He’s written ten Ph.D.-level cognitive psychology  textbooks, and now, in his seventies, he is one of the most  quoted psychologists on the planet.

We spent hours picking the mind of this brilliant man. He was very humble, and willing to admit that the majority of positive  thinking experts are essentially using technology from the Forties and Fifties, ideas form Maxwell Maltz’s book,  Psycho-cybernetics, and Think and Grow Rich. What we wanted to understand from Dr. Van Dura was: Have  there been as many breakthroughs in the cognitive arena as there have been in other technological areas?

We discovered that, indeed, there have, but no one has been  willing or able to translate these complex books, and the  breakthroughs they contain, into language the masses can understand.

What’s The Best Success System?

There are too many people going around teaching  competency skills when it’s really a question of paradigms that get people to success. Let me tell you what  we’ve learned.

The biggest problem I see in Networking today is ambiguity.  By the time a company gets to a $100 million in sales, they  have 50 or 60 people who are all promoting different systems videos, audios, training materials. Almost every one of them is good. The problem is the ambiguity that results when I sign you up as a new distributor and train you in my process  which worked to get me where I am  and then a week later,  or two months later, another successful leader in the company blasts into town and gives a speech at the Hyatt with a totally  different video and training system. All of those systems are effective, and many of the leaders are making a profit  from selling them.

I’ve talked to a number of company presidents who all say  the same thing: If we could simply get everybody on the same  page, we could get to $10 billion.

So let me make one recommendation I think will help you immensely: Get with the best person upline from you, follow his or her system, and stay with it until you get to a $100,000 a  month.

If you have somebody in your company making the kind of revenue you’re interested in making, get involved with them and learn their system. Most systems are good, but the  ambiguity that results from shifting every two to three months is what drives most professionals out of our industry.

Before new paradigms will work, you need to have perseverance in one system.

Dr. Van Dura pointed out to us, over and over again,  an example using companies like IBM or Xerox. What would happen if you were to take their 12 or 20 regional  managers, train them each in a different methodology for marketing their product, and then say, I want all of  you to go back to your regions, and each month one of you is going to be scheduled into another person’s region to teach the antithesis of what they’re teaching?

Within six months, IBM and Xerox would be in Chapter 11! Yet that ambiguity is the very nature of our industry!  Great people walk away from this business, not because the systems to which they’ve been exposed are ineffectual, but because they’re forced to change effective systems  every two or three months.

Pick a system you like stay with the company you’re with  and teach your people not to mess with any other systems until they get to the income level they want.

Are You A Network Marketing Dinosaur? Are You Going To Go Extinct!!

Do you have a computer in your home? Do you have a cell phone to keep in touch with your friends and family? Do you check your emails on a daily basis and use chat programs to talk to people half way across the world?

Well if the answer is a resounding “Yes!” then why are you still marketing your business the old school way?!

Making a list of all your closest friends and family and having long product meetings with business associates may have worked in the past. But this is the 21st century. Just think about this; the 3 main reasons you have a cell phone, PDA or laptop is they are convenient, efficient and are the most current forms of communication. “Current” being the operative word.

Why don’t you send out 5 to 10 snail mails a day to your friends, carry around a suitcase cell phone or use an IBM MS DOS Computer? Well, because they are outdated and there are much better ways to communicate with people in this day and age.

Now even though there are great forms of current marketing techniques, there are still hordes of Network Marketers out there who are stuck in the past. Using prehistoric methods to try and capture modern day prospects. And just like the dinosaurs, if they aren’t careful, they will become extinct very quickly!

So let’s compare the old way of network marketing and the new, more current version:

OLD: Making a list of every single person you know from your baby sitter to your mail man and trying to hassle them into joining a business that they know nothing about and probably aren’t interested in. Remember, not everyone shares the same dreams and values as you do.

NEW: Uses current marketing tools like websites, blogs and emails to market directly to a specific market of people who already believe in the business and know that it works.

OLD: Has to get in their car and drive to the 10 different meetings that they have set up with their different contacts and give the same old product sales pitch over and over again.

NEW: Uses tailored online strategies and tools to attract qualified prospects towards them instead of having to chase every single person that they know.

OLD: Has a corporate replicated website just like the thousands of other distributors in the company and pushes the company’s benefits just like 97% of the network marketers in the business.

NEW: Differentiates themselves by branding themselves in the front end and provides value and education to the thousands of network marketers out there who are in dire need of help, guidance and leadership to become successful.

OLD: Relies on their personal skills to build strong rapport with prospects just to get in front of them and pitch them their business opportunity.

NEW: Uses well constructed videos, articles and emails to build genuine rapport with prospects from all over the world, which in turn positions them as a leader and an expert.

OLD: Runs from meeting to meeting on a daily basis to speak to as many people as possible in any one given day.

NEW: Uses tools on the Internet to LEVERAGE their time effectively and creates material that never stops working and doesn’t get tired.

And the list goes on and on…

So,  stop being a dinosaur and  evolve into a modern day creature, who uses cutting edge marketing techniques to leverage their time, attract quality people, recruit business builders into their opportunity and create retention, make sure you embrace the POWER of the Internet.

To be long-term successful, you MUST  have a marketing system. I love mine because it offers total training in the skills of working with people, so that you get better and better‚ and your people can plug into exactly the same system, making it far easier for you to help them.
